Official bad beat season for the Worm. NE was down 4 starting olinemen due to injury & COVID restrictions, which actually wasn’t a major factor vs HOU since Jones was only sacked once. But, they did have a had time running which is key to beating up on HOU & somehow McCourty had an awful gm making Davis Mills look like Peyton Manning. NE was lucky to even pull out the SU win. POW losses now tally @ a combined 14 ½ pts over 4 gms. MIA was actually only down a TD despite awful “O” play heading into the 4[SUP]th[/SUP]. #1 pick Waddle (which I wanted Devonta Smith) had a horrendous drop that turned into a pick & another TB TD, stopping any comeback attempt. Thanks to that 21 pt 4[SUP]th[/SUP] the Under was torpedoed as well. As I wrote, PHI is tuff to cap wk to wk & they did just enough on “O” & “D” to upset CAR & JAX were who we thought they were against the now surging Titans. Teaser hit in my only win of Wk 5.

Regular Season POW 1-4, Teasers 3-2, GOY 0-0, Overall 10-14 (13-14 undocumented)

DAL -3 ½ is playing fantastic thus far, amazingly on both sides of the ball. DAL’s “O” led by Dak is no mystery to anyone, however Dan Quinn has come in & reshaped this “D” into a ball hawking unit that’s looking for TOs. 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] yr man Trevon Diggs (GTD w/ankle) leads the league in INTs w/6 & rookie Micah Parsons is blowing up plays every gm. Giving pts @ NE is rarely a smart play, however NE will still be working behind a shuffled oline w/even the expected starting LT (Herron) being questionable w/a bad back. RB Damian Harris is also banged up leaving NE razor thin there as well. Heavy public action is obviously on DAL here, but w/the advantages all across the board for DAL, they’re prob on the rt side this wk. This is a very simple case of DAL expecting to win both sides of the trenches & a far superior “O”. Only DAL themselves can lose this gm.

Honorable Mentions:

1 Unit MIA -3: You must be thinking, Worm, seriously, again? But, I’ve only played my team 3x & am 2-1 in those gms. I took a huge gamble on a TB letdown last wk & MIA almost pulled it off. This wk in London where JAX is the younger team & MIA would’ve been on the rd anyway, should own the Jags in this tilt. Fitzmagic & the “D” demolished JAX last yr on a Thurs gm last yr & w/Tua returning, I have greater faith in MIA having a much-needed bounce back here. “D” & “O” leaders Myles Jack & Brandon Linder are also out, creating a huge void on both sides of the ball. And when your HC is telling reporters that he didn’t realize his star RB Robinson didn’t have much carries in the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] half or CB Shaq Griffin lamenting about major miscommunication in the secondary, that’s not being prepared heading into gms. MIA will be w/out DeVante Parker & the X-Man, but JAX’s issues far outweigh those key pieces.

1 Unit DET +3 ½: I feel Dan Campbell’s emotions following DET’s 5[SUP]th[/SUP] loss to open the season has the Lions still playing hard for him & keeping this 1 close. CIN really let me down a few wks ago, barely getting past the lowly Jags. Looking @ their yr thus far, it appears they enjoy playing up to their competition. They beat MIN, PIT & almost upset GB last wk yet lost to CHI & squeaked past JAX, & now are on the rd @ 0-5 DET. Classic letdown spot, w/even a key div gm against BAL looming next wk.

1 Unit LAC +3: LAC are having fantastic starts to gms while BAL tends to get behind early. I don’t think BAL can pull off their usual 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] half magic against this “D” & aggressive “O” if they get behind once again. Derwin James & this stop unit are fast so if they play disciplined, they should be able to stop Lamar & his makeshift backfield. Ekeler & Mike Williams should continue to feast here.

1 Unit TEN +6: Big hunch here as BUF is the hottest team in the NFL by far. But BUF’s weakness on “D” is the run & King Henry leads the league in rushing by a ton. TEN got off to a ruff start to the yr due to COVID & are now starting to gel & get healthier (Julio & Dupree both expected to return). TEN won this tilt @ TEN last yr 42-16. Not expecting that score again, but TEN has the horses to keep this close.

2 Unit Wormy Teaser

IND +2 ½
GB +7
LAC +15 ½
ARI/CLE Under 61 ½

BOL to the both of us, then. :toast:

Miami has this. Miami better have this. Wtf is going on?!?!
Cash, it's been a very odd season for us. 1 thing is for CERTAIN, we need a good OC. "D" struggles when "O" turns ball over. And play design has been vanilla, to put it lightly. PHINS UP!
