I seriously doubt they're going to choke another 3-1 NLCS lead.

Braves in 5. Fried will close this out tomorrow. Who would have thunk it?

Well Justin Turner pulled up lame running out a ground ball double play. To go along with all the other Infirmary patients. It looks bleak though they’ve had a good run for nine years they have a laundry list of players to be free agents. IMO they need to let most if not all go rebuild and get young.

Assuming they hold on in the bottom of the 9th, I feel confident that their next 3 games will have Fried, Anderson, Morton all on full rest.

would love to see the series wrap up in 5 so they can set up their pitching rotation.

however won’t celebrate until the braves get that 4th win as the dodgers are awesome

I hear ya but the Bravos will get this done this time. Tomorrow is the night. Fried has been terrific.

Haha, too many absolutes on both sides of the isle

Yesterday some Dodgers backers were calling the series over already after their comeback, despite being down 1-2

The series odds have been all over the place

But that's why they play the game

Dodgers screwed up their rotation, had Scherzer and Urias do bullpen work that has taken its toll, both were not sharp in their starting rolls in this series. Manager Roberts is hyped, slobbered over, is vastly overrated.

Screw them, LA paid $282M for their player salaries
, Braves paid $145M, I am tired of top 5-6 teams going with double, triple the salaries lower tier teams can afford... (TB $70M, Oakland $83M for example). Dodgers in effect have four $30-35M a yrs players that the Braves could not afford. Teams like Dodgers and Yankees can afford to have a few injured. They can trade prospects because they can just buy a $35M player in FA next year...

Braves have a solid lineup, if they had Acuna, then, damn! Rosario is on fire, I like Riley, Duval, Albies, Pederson, they are all top notch.

GO BRAVES! (I am not a Braves fan, live in the Midwest, just anti-Dodger and anti too-big payroll teams and teams that definitely cheated so I want Braves-Boston)

Roberts wanted to be the smartest guy in the room..it backfired.
Yesterday Scherzer was talking about having a dead arm last start and Urias has pitch far more innings this year.

I'd like to see it go back to Atlanta for another game after tonight but being a bullpen day for the dodgers makes it doubtful.

Exactly

Boo Hoo with those injuries and that crazy payroll.

Braves have their share of injuries as well.

Not sure if you watched (and listened) to the game last nite but Pedro Martinez was saying how these pitchers only had 60 games last year on the schedule. This year was a full season and their arms are tired. Thats affecting the dodgers right now as their pitchers havent stepped up.

Urias didnt look like himself. I know he pitched in game 2 but that seemed more of a "bullpen session".

Makes me crazy that the dodgers have all this pitching and tonight will be their 2nd "bullpen game" and we're only at game 5.

Braves were up 3-1 last year so dont want to get too cocky.

Fried is from LA so would love to see him close out this series in his home town

I’ve had conversations with former coworkers of whom we have group text. Ones a Yankees fan and another taps on him “write those checks”. I chime in the Yankees and Dodgers deserve to win because they spend the most money. You do know the Dodgers play in front of 40k plus a night consider them share holders and they’d be pissed if they horde all that money. The problem is baseball doesn’t have revenue sharing like the NFL. All merchandise sales and cable tv contacts are not put into a pot and dispersed. Remember when Time Warner Cable paid 7 billion for exclusive rights for Dodgers games.

And How can the Dodgers be chalk tonight? That being said I’ll probably bet them betting with my heart.

Reverse jinx thread? Does someone have a series wager on the Dodgers?

No Doc. I really believe the Braves are the call for tonight. Have them +120.

Yankees have been staying under the luxury tax for past 4 seasons. Hal Steinbrenner has made that a mission he's not like his old man was.

MLB needs a floor. Tired of some of the small market teams fielding AAA teams on the major league level and making huge profits.

BTW bet with you head and not heart, Biggins.
