Some comments about the games:

Calgary at New Jersey
Calgary played against Islanders last night and now they are facing a rested and tough opponent at New Jersey. And now that Calgary-goalie Roman Turek isn't able to play, the Flames are even in bigger trouble.

Edmonton at NY Rangers
Rangers has been a disappointment this season and it doesn't help to have key players like Bobby Holik injured.

Washington at Columbus
Washington is not even an average level NHL-team despite the fact that they have one of the best, Jaromir Jagr in their lineup. Besides that Capitals' goalie Olaf Kolzig might miss this game, neither of these teams are suffering from injuries to their key players.

Los Angeles at San Jose
LA played against Minnesota last night and the rested Sharks is not an easy opponent, especially when LA's Jason Allison is on the injury list. San Jose's Scott Thornton is questionable for tonight's game, but he isn't as important player for his team as Allison is for the Kings. Without the injuries it would seem that the Kings might even be a better team than the Sharks, but not while Allison is out.

Chicago at Detroit
Chicago will be in big trouble playing in Detroit without their biggest star Eric Daze. Also important Theo Fleury is out of the Blackhawk's lineup. The Red Wings are without one of their stars Steve Yzerman. Even though Detroit is not leading NHL in points so far, don't be fooled to think they wouldn't be superior compared to Chicago.

Philadelphia at Carolina
Philadelphia is looking good and it's definitely one of the Stanley Cup candidates at playoffs next spring. Carolina on the other hand is a long shot to repeat it's playoff success this season. No big injury problems for these teams here.

Tampa Bay at Toronto
Toronto's Gary Roberts is out, and that makes the Lightning's task a little bit easier at Toronto tonight. Tampa Bay is a team you shouldn't underestimate this season or it will cost you a lot of money.

St. Louis at Montreal
St. Louis is without two of their biggest stars, Keith Tkachuk and Chris Pronger. Montreal has some injury problems of it's own, but not nearly as serious as St. Louis. On the other hand Blues have shown to be one of best teams this season.

Maximo's Lines:

CAL +1½ -145
NJ -1½ +125
(CAL: Turek out.)

EDM -½ -105
NYR +½ -115
(NYR: Holik and Karpa out.)

WAS -½ +120
CLB +½ -140
(WAS: Kolzig out.)

LA +½ +115
SJ -½ -135
(LA: Alllison and Miller out. SJ: Thornton questionable.)

CHI +1½ -145
DET -1½ +125
(CHI: Daze, Fleury and Probert out. DET: Yzerman out. Bykov and Holmstrom questionable.)

PHI -½ -110
CAR +½ -110
(CAR: Vasicek questionable.)

TB +½ -105
TOR -½ -115
(TB: Holzinger out. TOR: Roberts out.)

STL +½ -135
MON -½ +115
(STL: Tkachuk, Pronger, Divis and Pilon out. Johnson, Corso and Nash questionable. MON: Ribeiro, Souray and Odjick out. Quintal questionable.)

I recommend you to bet on any of these teams if the odds from your Vegas or offshore bookmaker are significantly better than mine above.
