Boys here it is take the UNDER across the board. Now, sick, don't get upset. I know Mario is your favourite player of all time. He is one of my faves too. Let me tell you a quick story, last January I had a hot date with this chick Jennifer. Now normally I never go out with women, for some reason I seem to have a natural, built in repellent factor to them. So anyway, this hot chick must have been smoking crack or something because she agreed to go out with me. Then, I realize that I am going to the Flames/Penguins game with my buddies that night. Now I had NEVER seen Mario play, so what did I do? I cancelled that date of course. By the way, the Flames got their asses beat, 7-4 or something. The greatest moment of the night was when Mario got an empty netter in the last minute.

So sick I'm not just trying to offend you. You knwo as well as I do that Marios hip is not going to withstand the season. He averages over a point a game for his career, but no way he starts any more than 55 games this season. Hence, no way in hell he gets 80 points. No way he gets 30 goals. I bet you 90% of his points will be assists. He will set up the young guys night after night. So take the under all the way boys and you can't lose!! Easy $$$$!!!!!!

Probably won't play the Pens back to back games again this year, so you can take 15 games off what he will play. So 67, maybe minus a few sore sit outs and such...maybe the under on games played??

there's going to be more scoring in the NHL this year though. They will be calling the obstruction, which will cause more penalties, and players will have 18 secs to face off now. Add this all up and you get more scoring opportunities now. We might end up with players increasing their goal production this year. If the NHL opens up in offence and we start seeing 5-4 games again, rather than those boring 3-1 scores we've had, then this Mario bet is a loss.

I have good news for you though. Canada has gone from a -200 back down to a -165 favorite because of that damn Marcellus (vega) kid. He has just weakened our team big time. We were strong until this 18 yr old punk came along and ruined our chemistry.

But I must admit, I think the USA looks good with you leading the way. I predict you will be a front runner for MVP for the USA. You just seem more hungry than the others. You are one of the few americans who is actually posting in the Hockey forum and saying that you can't wait till it starts. You just seem hungrier than the others.

I was very confident in Canada's chances. But since Vega joined, I am NO longer as confident. But the Americans are very lucky to have you. I wish you were Canadian. I am really expecting a good tournament by you. I predict you will come in, in the top 30 of the 150+ participants.

Now sick, I know you moved the line just because you're pissed off that I am betting the under on all of his seasons achievements. But don't feel bad, my favourite player was suspended indefinately by the NHL today....serves me right for bad mouthing the Team Canada captain.

Seriously though, Mario is one of the alltime greats, better than Gretz in my opinion.
