my rule of thumb (some wise guys i know NEVER lay any juice - and they bet substantially more than myself) is if team is home never lay more than +.5-20; if road team never lay more than +.5-10. keep in mind that for some clubs that might change, and that also might change slightly depending on the total.

that chicago game is a good example why you might want to SPLIT a unit bet on the hawks because as the total for the game keeps dropping making the +.5 more valuable.
