Here's my correspondance with gamebookers, and they are right, and i only got myself to blame...

Dear Sir,

thank you for your feedback.

After detailed investigation on your transactions we believe that the reason for your confusion is your recently matched p2p offer on the Everton v Manchester Utd game.
The offer is matched and recorded in your transactions history as follows

Status: closed
Offer ID: 1074658
Event: Everton v Manchester Utd 0:0
Event Time: 11 May 03 16:00
Outcome: 1
Direction: to win
Stake: 0.00
Odd: 250.00
Open Time: 11 May 03 00:15
Close Time: 11 May 03 16:00
Matched stake: 2.05

As you can see the offer is made at odds 250.00 and the matched stake is 2.05 and not the other way around as you probably intended.

And though it is obvious that you have posted this offer by mistake, switching the places of stake and odds, we are cannot interfere. As you know, we are obligated to the other user, who has accepted your offer, and as said in our Terms&Conditions "the Customer is entirely responsible for the information that s/he provides concerning the offer. gamebookers will not inquire into the reasonableness of any P2P offer and will not be liable for incorrect entries made by Customer, including data input errors with respect to the odds or stake on offer."

Therefore our hands are tide and we can only wish you good luck.

Best wishes,

Customer Service @ gamebookers.com

i dont know what the rest of yas would do but i d never bet such a bad line from another gambler to pry on his obvious error.

Other than that, half time score is 1-1, man. u just tied, and i am going to go through a very unpleasant 45 minutes to come, to say the least, on my computer screen. Fvck it, i am going out for a walk in the park...

thanks chris, i sure hope they do, thankfully it's a level handicap and they just gotta draw, and everton is way worse a team than man. u. is. I feel shitty right now, but if man. win, i am going to celebrate my 2.05 euro winnings in style, by buying 2.05 beers for the evening...

yes, yes, yes, united up 2-1, god damn, i ll even take the 2 euros from the smartass fvcker who decided to take advantage of my error, there is a (gambling) god i guess, i am a believer.

You dont know how relieved i feel guys, 500 euros down the drain from such a dumbass move, would have pissed me off very very very much tonight...

i have had much worse lump sum losses, out of bad capping or being unlucky, but this would have been giving money away...

thanks justin, wish i could buy all you guys a round of drinks, lol, i dont think i 've ever celebrated a 2.05 euro win so much.

Going out to get myself some drinks, and i might post something on the greek derby olympiakos v. panthinaikos starting in an hour, but so far i find it very hard to find anything of value. Draw looks like a good bet at 3.15 for 1/2, but am not thrilled.

Alright guys, if any of you see this in time, i d suggest a medium bet on the panathinaikos away win at 3.35 or more, definately worth a punt, and it's were my money will be, remember 3.35 are the odds not the stake, lol,

Jack, in betfair, if you lay for over odds of 50/1 or something unusually high, they would warn you. but i am glad you turned out fine, that could have been so harsh~

thanks antonio man, i told them in an email, that they could have a system warning you that if your odds are too high relatively to what THEY offer, if they are say 10 times the amount to warn you, and they told me that this would be somehow limiting the offers to their customers, whatever, all's well that ends well.

btw, we dont see you much around here man, do you post somewhere else?

take care man too, always a pleasure to see you around, lost the bet on the greek derby as panathinaikos choked, but i am an olympiakos fan so no harm no foul.

I'm pretty sure that most of us would be all over a bad line like this!

i dunno, personally i would not try to take advantage of it, never have, never will, be it a book or a punter. However as antonio said they at gamebookers should introduce some system to safeguard against such errors, as they have for themselves, like they have at betfair. It's just two minute boxes where you enter odds in one and stake on the other, i am always extra carefull when placing such a bet, but it's dead easy to make an error.

Probably someone running a bot on the
gamebookers p2p snatched up your bet within
seconds of your placing it. Even if you caught
the mistake moments later,it would have been
too late. I just wonder if any of these
exchange sites would set up bots to lock-in
arb profits for themselves.

hadn't thought of that maria, and i think you are right here, and they probably do set up bots to lock-in arb profits for themselves.
