Why don't we do something different this Christmas?

Search
I've never done this before so I'm not even sure how to begin with, but I was just thinking maybe we can get organized and all pitch in together and buy some gifts/clothes for some orphanage or something of the nature (some other place with less fortunate kids) It could be either that or put money together to throw a little party for them, or heck even both. If this were to happen, it would have to be quick though because places like these usually require that things be in days before christmas so everything can be arranged properly. If anyone in the US would like to cooperate I guess we could receive funds through Western Union or something similar.

Just let me know what you all think and if you're interested, I can look into the matter a little bit more. Somewhere out there, some place must need help, its a matter of finding them.

Great idea. Maybe people is a little lazy about making a party or something.

I have an idea, here at my office we have a list from the Fundacion Vida, that helps little kids with HIV. They are asking for clothes (shirt, pants, shoes and everything). It is a huge list and it is not a very big office, so if you guys want to do something we can get in contact and I'll give you the kid information, they are also going to have a party at the Museo del Nino, so you can also help with money if you don't want to "adopt" a kid.

It broke my heart to see the list and see lots of babies (less than 1 year) with HIV.

The dead line for the gifts is 12/04, so if there's anybody interested, let me know, these kids need us

hey Tar!! how you been?

If you are going to do some "manitas de amor" send me an e-mail.

We did that last year, and we sent to the party at Los Guidos, man, you have to see those little faces...

I have the number for "manitas de amor" and I just tried contacting them. I could get us a list and pass it along maybe via email or something.

The only thing that really concerns me is that we have to make sure those gifts are picked up on time and that those who want to participate are REALLY going to buy the gifts. I would hate to leave one of those kids without a gift because someone just "didn't really care"

Let me know what your plan is and I will get you the list in no time.

GREAT IDEA!!!

My office has already started sending out our yearly charity contributions for the holiday season on Friday(yesterday) and we will do it EVERY week untill the first week of January.

Each week we send money, food, clothing to a different cause.

We all make a good living and this is the least we can do.

And remember helping other less fortunate will come back to you sooner or later as long as it is not in vain. /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
