Thanks Dante, but i am afraid there is nothing that can be done from the US.
Unless you can make "ASSCROFT" to get his hounds back in the kennels.

Actually, since that is an open sign book forum i think all signatures, comments, and opinions are welcome... a lot of people is forwarding an e-mail with the links to their friends and family, regardless of if they work on books or not... Thanks Dante!

A couple days ago some letters were sent via e-mail to the congress. Someone got an answer from them. What they said was to keep sending letters, the more the better, that way they can use them in to make a case and help us out.
I will be posting their e-mail address.
Guys, it's time to make them hear us.

Best most start looking for a different profession, the BOOKS, at least most will leave your country. The ones that stay, the BIG ones, will pay even less because of it.

You might be right (hope not). But might as well give it a try.
The worse we can do is just to cross our arms and watch it happen, then ask ourselves "what if"

What I have found gets best results is if you pick a date and time and try to get everyone to phone, fax and email all at the same time. Even provide form emails for people who may not have the time to write in their own words. A large volume of activity on one targeted day will get more attention than the same number spread out over time.

If you really want to be persistant, try to organize a peaceful march of clerks and the families that depend on their income to publicly present a petition of sorts, even if it's primarily a symbolic move. If you expect a decent turn out for this, alert the press ahead of time to make sure you word gets out to others.

Clerks:

You should act, and quickly, to put pressure on your kongress people there.

Reality be known, there really are several substantial companies ( 50 + Clerk operations) actively looking to relocate elsewhere.

As many of you may know, companies and jobs flowed into CR because it became known as an "easy" place to do business.

This is not now the situation, and your jobs are endangered.

that would really suck for many people that have made a living working for the good sportsbooks in C.R. Even though i'm not a clerk anymore, maybe in the future i might need a job and hopefully the books i used to work gor will still be around. What i wouldn't be sad about is if the government put lots of PRESSURE on offices like NASA,SMALL NASA and SBG to start paying some big bucks for being allowed to stay were they're at,because after all,THEY ARE CONSIDERED 3 OF THE BIGGEST, but when one of there employees receive there weekly 40 hour check,i would've thought they're maintenance people at the fuk*ing place.
