Aloha, I'm wondering who pays the most and expects the best. High hours and high pay sound good to hawaii nai. Just curious I have been around for a while and was just wondering where the books are at. This would include all basic bookie jobs (clerk, customer service, VIP, supervisors, line managers.) Thanks for the imput.

Thank you for the imput. I need a more specific answer though. Maybe from a bookie. I need to know how much the books pay on average and where they are located. San jose Heredia. I'm sure this is info every bookie would love to know. When they have enough experience where would their best option(s) be?

For baseball,
I'd recommend
VIP
They have dime lines and overnight lines..

For football
MVP
They have like a bazillion prop bets and pay out quick.

Aloha, hawaii_50!
You can find a lot of books on Mall San Pedro, Equus building (San Pedro) and in Oficentro La Sabana, but you have to look for the offices, they don't have signs or anything, if you go resume dropping or want to fill applications, the way to go is look for a security guard and tell him "I'm here to fill an application on a sportsbook but I forgot which floor they told me..." Guards usually know where all the sportsbook are and will send you there.
I guess those are the main locations, but they seem to be spreading... Look for recently-built office buildings, a lot of books are relocating and they like brand new offices!

The usual pay per starters is around $4 per hour for rookies with no experience, it goes up depending on how much experience you have. As for how to get to the bookies, some are hiring right now, and a lot of places will start hiring in Mid-July. Usually on "La Nacion" you can spot ads that usually say: "Can you read and speak perfect english?", 99% of the times those are bookie's ads, so keep your eyes open!
