In a match-up tonight of the #2 and #3 defense's in the NBA we're going to recommend the Under. Both the Houston Rockets and the San Antonio Spurs have won four straight games and tonight is the first of a home-and-home set.

Houston are allowing less than 85 points per game this season and San Antonio are just one point less miserly at under 86 ppg. The Rockets also have the fourth-worst offense in the league at 88.3 ppg.

No surprise then that the Under is 18-8 recently for the Spurs and 13-6 for the Rockets.

It's also worth noting that the Under is hitting at more than 60% (67-44) the last three seasons when either of these teams play against their Midwest division rivals.

These teams averaged 175 points in their four meetings last season and three of those games went Under. When you consider that scoring is well down in the NBA this season and new Rockets coach Van Gundy emphasizes defense so strongly we see value in playing the Under tonight.

Recommended Play: Under 169.5

Good luck

Good call. What did people expect when the 2nd and 3rd best defenses meet. If this was an NFL game line would have been 31 and the final score would have been 6-3.
