The Texas Rangers tonight go for their first three-game win streak in more than a month when they continue their four-game series at Anaheim.

The Rangers are fourth in the AL West at 32-49 while the Angels are an even 40-40 to be placed third.

Tonight's match-up features two pitchers who have struggled in their recent outings and we will be playing the Over.

Angels starter Jarrod Washburn has lost four straight decisions, allowing 21 runs in 23 innings. The 28 year-old leftie has posted a 10.57 ERA and allowed eight home runs in his past three losses. Tonight he will have to shut down Alex Rodriguez who has more homers (38) and RBIs (85) against the Angels than any other team. Washburn's overall record this season is 6-9, 4.19 ERA while in 10 career appearances including eight starts against Texas he is 5-2 with a 3.41 ERA.

The Rangers go with Ismael Valdes who had won four straight decisions before dropping his last two starts. Valdes suffered the loss against Oakland on Thursday and has given up eight earned runs and 10 hits in each of his last two outings. He has lasted a combined total of just seven 1/3 innings in his last two starts. The over is 5-1 in Valdes' last six starts.

The eight meetings between these teams this season have averaged more than 11 runs and we're forecasting a double-digit total again tonight.
