Hi, guys,

My first time posting in the baseball forum. My strengths are usually in fights/boxing and movie props, but I'm starting to get a decent handle on baseball. Perhaps my ignorance in certain areas means I don't over-analyze plays too much.

Looking to see if I can offer up some moneymakers tonight. Here's what I'm after:

Colorado UN 13

One thing I like to look for is excessively high or low totals, and this certainly fits the bill. Despite the 8-7 game yesterday, the box score impression leaves a lot to the imagination. Seven of those runs came in one extra inning, leaving this game just a run shy of going well under the total in regular time.

Arizona's Good hasn't allowed more than six runs in June; Colorado's Denny Stark has been inactive this year, but allowed for six runs last season vs. Arizona.

The other seven of this season's series came under or pushed 13 runs. 12.5 is the sharper line, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it close there.

LA OV 6.5

Same principle here: this is not a huge hurdle to clear. The Giants' Lawrence has not been throwing well, and LA's Nomo will likely be good for a couple of hits. I see a 5-2 score in favor of LA.

Yankees -1.5

A hot team with hot bats. Baltimore JUST squeaked by with a + rl win last night after a bottom-ninth burst of energy. Tonight, I believe the Yanks will offer up a similar performance, but this time with stronger pitching to back them. Mussina is 5-1 vs. Baltimore and hasn't let much get off him in recent starts: only six runs in 22 innings.

Baltimore's Lopez, in contrast, got hammered for eight runs in under two innings vs. Toronto last week. With Toronto's bats getting cold, I think the Yanks pick up where they left off with a decisive, lopsided victory here.

Boston Team Total OV 5.5

In seven games vs. Tampa Bay, Boston only failed to hit 6 runs in a game once. TB's Standridge, a rookie who has seen 25 runs in 46 innings, should get lit up tonight against the vicious offense.

Good luck to all. Hope my first post here results in some wins for everyone. I almost posted yesterday with what I considered to be a huge play: Toronto's rl against the insufferable Tigers. That was just a reminder of why it's gambling and not collecting free money.

Thanks, Lab.

Went a rather unspectacular 2-2 tonight. Boston went stone-cold, as did Yanks. Think I'll stick with game totals for awhile. Catch you later.
