Well we were going to have a 2-unit play on Oakland and Zito for today but silly us forgot the game started early so we just missed it. Lets see how it plays out. The rest of todays card still looks solid though so no biggy. Best of luck to all....

2 Unit Plays
Pittsburgh -125
Atlanta -120
Arizona -125 *strongest of todays plays. just missed being a top play for us*
Arz/Col Under 11 runs -120

1 Unit Plays
ChiC/Phi Under 8 runs -120
LADodgers -1.5 R/L -115 *they have to win one of these days right??*
Toronto -105

May be adding a few more later.

now 2head, i will talk with you about the AZ pick,, first off (i wish you the best) -- i am not on it in any way,,,, but let me put some thoughts on you -------- forget that win streak, its over now for the Dbacks,, they are a mere 21-20 on the road (which aint bad),, rockies are 31-14 at home (dynamite),, season series rockies 7-3,, all of these are things everyone knows,, what ill tell you about is that after a big win streak, teams tend to go a little flat,, AZ is not great. they have tons of injuries, webb is a righty against some tough left handed bats at coors field... neagle has done well lately,,,,, this pick had to rest on the shoulders of Brandon Webb,, sorry for rambling 2head,, forgive me,, but i think rockies get the win in this one.. dont change a thing, im just offering an opinion and i dont have a dime on it... so good luck buddy and we will know later..

be careful on the la one... seriously man, i think the padres do have a shot in this, if they can win yesterday with skill and batting... they have no doubt with today's win with a nice defense backing eaton up.

SSI & NO CHANCE IN HELL & THE JAGUAR,
we value each and all of your words and questions/concerns regarding our plays today and welcome it in the future. Talking games out and analyzing the little things about games and match-ups definetly makes us and all of you better cappers in the long run. Best of luck to each of you tonight.

Some of our thoughts on todays games and our plays....
LADodgers>>>we look at this in the same way we did when we played the Jays and Halladay yesterday on the runline. a very struggling team both on the field and in their minds (confidence) who will look to their ace to right the ship. Brown is having a great year and in our opinion is good enough to trust in this spot. Eaton meanwhile has a few good outings but for the most part gets his share of runs scored against him. 2 much of a pitching mismatch for us to pass up on and yeah, the Dodgers are due bigtime.

Arizona>>>a play on Webb mainly, but we also feel Neagle can and will be had by this Diamondback offense. after going on their tear and taking the first game of this series Arizona has dropped the last 2 so a win here will at least give them a split for the series. we know the Rockies are a very good home team but ??? we just have a feeling on this one and we've come to learn it is never wise to go against that.

Pittsburgh>>>plain and simple we do not like and/or trust Dempster one bit. we have no idea what happened to him, as he was a fairly decent pitcher with the Marlins but ever since coming over to the Reds he has pretty much sucked @ss. not saying he isn't capable of a solid outing every now and again when the situation is right but tonight isn't that time, especially being on the road. Pitt should be able to get to him for a good 4-6 runs by the 5th and Fogg should handle the rest.

indeed gl on your plays

following all your plays except your dodgers, true they may be due, but always beware of the spirit of the padres.. and the threat of sweep.

Well the A's and Zito get the win 5-2 and we miss out on a 2-unit winner by 5 minutes or so. Oh well, e're hoping that win would have been the first of many for us tonight. Adding a few more plays (mostly totals) to finish off our card for today. Best of luck to all....

1 Unit Plays (added)
Mil/Hou Under 9.5 runs -105 *we wanted to play the UNDER here last night, which would have been a late loser, but didn't so lets try it today. we like robertson to pitch a good one*
Mon/Atl Under 9 runs -105 *potential for a pitchers duel here, reynolds should bounce back nicely at home after getting roughed up last start*
Kansas City -1.5 R/L -110 *royals look to make up for those losses to cleveland with a series against the mighty tigers (haha). same old story here, bonderman + tigers on the road=one big fat loss!*
Tor/Bal Over 10 runs -105 *offense offense and more offense. blue jays should get close to this total by themselves*

Sorry if these write-ups are a bit on the cocky side, but its just more fun for us to write them that way.

*lol* You're really starting to make us worry about our Arizona play. We were kicking ourselves yesterday for not listening to you on the Giants and Padres. Lets hope you're wrong on this one ok.

hope we both have luck on toronto,, philly is looking good,, that was a close 2nd for me today.. as for AZ/Col, im not on the game but all my indicators say rockies,, with the exception of webb.. Ill talk with you after the game about this, if im not banished,, if im banished then i wont be talking to anyone until saturday... Understand Col, cannot be a play for me because of webb,,, everything else that i use says the rockies and honestly i think colorado will beat them handily tonight..

SSI, well hopefully Toronto can get the win for us all so you won't be banished and we can talk more about the Arz/Col game when its finished. We know and respect the fact that you have strong trends/stats pointing to the Rockies being the right side tonight but Mr.Webb doesn't and he'll be the deciding factor in our Diamondbacks getting the $$$.

SSI, no doubt about it....Hinske homer puts Jays on top but its early. Our UNDER play on ChiC/Phi in jeopardy, only 1 more run to spare in the 7th. Lets all pray for some good relief work in that one.

I loved the phils in this one,, 3 top choices were Tor, Phil, Clev,,, than colorado would have been 4th.. phillies scored too many for you.. i suck at totals by the way.. on my 17-5 record, one of the losses is a totals play..

SSI, 0-1 on totals isn't all that bad.

But yeah, we know what you mean. We'd rather put our faith in a team instead of trying to predict a final score...Looks like we should have just played the Phillies instead of our UNDER, which just went OVER thanks to their 7+ runs. We thought Zambrano would do a much better job than he did. And dammitt, our Braves are behind 3-0 in the 2nd. Don't know exactly whats going on with them these past couple of weeks. Not the same swagger they had just a little while ago when they were hitting everything and taking no prisoners. Guess they had to slow down eventually huh?? Still think they win it all this year though, 4-1 odds right now. We're thinking hard about putting some $$$ down soon, especially with Byrd and Hernandez coming back eventually to help out the pitching staff. As long as they stay from any major injuries we feel they definetly have the advantage. All that post-season experience they have has to come in handy one of these years right.*lol* Don't think we can take another year of so much promise turning into so much $hit come playoffs.(ok thats our vent post for the week) Sorry to everyone that actually reads all this.

Uh oh, Toronto's in some trouble now. Almost time they yank Davis and go to the pen. And one more thing....Reynolds and Atlanta suck!!

We have to give credit to Vargas though, so far he's getting the job done on this Braves lineup.

**ckin Sheffield!!!!!! They not only lose the game but they leave us with a push instead of a win on our UNDER 9 play. Dammitt, don't they know the rules of this game...either come all the way back and win or don't comeback at all BRAVES!! Down by one, a runner ready to score on any type of hit (they had first and second), and their best hitter at the plate. Guess we can't ask for much more than that huh?? Really thought Sheff was going to deliver. Oh well, just chalk it up as another heart-breaker. Lets go Dodgers!! *lol* Currently down 5-0 in the 2nd inning...Wow!! Will the real Kevin Brown please report to the Dodger Stadium mound immediately. Gotta love them Padres, hot hot hot right now.
