What's 1/2 run worth in an O/U bet?

I had a choice today in betting an over/under bet. I took over 10.5 runs(-105) rather than over 10.0(-135). Did I do the right thing or is the extra 0.5 run worth more than 30 cents in general? Thanks.

a half run can be the difference in a win or loss buying a half run can vary from 20 to 35 cent lines if you won you did the right thing

You did the right thing. It's worth about 20 cents. Odd numbers are worth more than even numbers.

Good to hear I did the right thing; that 1/2 run almost came into play today when Boston was up 8-2 in the top of the 9th before a 2 run homer was hit. 30 cents for the extra 1/2 run seemed a bit too much to lay.....
