Loss last night with the Tigs and Sox going way over, while both starters got shelled. Trying to bounce back today.

YTD 10-4 (+6.3)

Mets @ Atlanta Under 8.5 (+102)
(Glavine, Ortiz)

Not many will agree with me here, but I feel Glavine gets the job done today. The Braves treated him rudely in his first trip back to the home land (3 1/3 IP, 6 runs), but he has still maintained a 2.77 ERA away from Shea despite that. Butterflies got to him last time, but I think he shows the Braves what they've been missing this time. Also, Chipper reinjured his wrist last night and will probably sit. And Bobby Cox has a penchant for resting some starters in day games following night games anyway, so Glavine hopefully won't be facing the Braves best lineup. It'd be worth it to check it out though.
Ortiz has pitched well, posting an ERA under 3 over his last three, and a 3.53 ERA in his career against undoubtedly better Mets lineups.
The Braves bullpen is money, and the Mets have rid themselves of the cancer that is Benitez, immediately improving themselves.

Maybe it's a bit of a stretch considering the Braves offensive prowess, both in general and against Glavine this year. However, I've been waiting for Glavine's return to Atlanta since his last start there, and while I can't in good conscience take the Mets here, I do like the under quite a lot.

Best of luck,
Space.

I meant to add that Chipper's wrist only really bothers him hitting righty, so he most likely will sit against the lefty Glavine.

OK, I'm done now.
