Doe's anyone play the first inning prop of whether or not a run will score in the first inning. Gamblers Avenue has this type of wager, not sure who else does.

The statistics for games in July so far is out of 215 games, 117 have had a run score in the first inning, 55%. I would of thought the opposite as it is harder to score a run than not to.

Just wondering if anyone out there has been profitable playing this type of wager.

well I like this wager Joe.. I go mostly on the NO runs as you already have a winner until they score .

I look for pitchers that are strong WHIP low and -140 or less for the NO...I do pretty good at it...I hit 3 or 4 in a row on the "no" at times

I had the same reaction....it would seem more unlikely that no run would score. I haven't been very successful though. You have to keep in mind that both teams are starting off with their best hitters.

Good call on checking the WHIP. As with any play, guess you gotta shop around.

Thanks, Dante, do you know what books offer this prop besides GA (to shop for the best line).

I always liked playing the 1st Qrtr lines in football, as every play is even more important, and find out if you win or lose in 45 minutes opposed to 3 hours. In baseball 1st inning, 10-15 minutes. I have to check it out.

You can find this at betmaker.com and bet19.com along with betgameday.com. Not for every game though. I'm sure bet365 has it as well.

Thanks Guys,

The Seattle/KC game looks like a good game to play the "NO" as the WHIP of the 2 starters is really good. Not sure if there is a line on this game though. Stat from sportsrumble.

Olympic has these. Just look under the props section for each individual game.

Joe Pool,

i guess i have to go against myself and my post in your question in the "Handicapping Zone"-part of the forum.

Maybe it can be profitable when you look att WHIP and how hot/cold the teams batters are, the wind/weather and don´t forgot to check the umpire! I would avoid over-umpires when playing NO at this prop.

THANKS DANTE!

The Seattle game was a winner so using this low WHIP system its 1-0, +100.
Overall Jul 19, the no run scored in 1st inning was 10-5.

Today their are 2 games that meet the Low WHIP system, the Detroit/Chicago White Sox(-150) and Seattle/KC games (-105). Odds are from GamblersAvenue. Good luck!

Dante, I should of heeded your other rule of taking only -140 or better. Seattle game
(-105) came through, but the Det (-150) did not. Learned the hard way today. But now 2-1 (+50).

Overall Jul 20, the no run scored in 1st inning was 8-7.
