And thank God it's Monday! Vargas was good yesterday, but Myers was better, and after starting 9-2, I've lost 4 of 5, some miserably.
Hoping (praying?) a new week brings new results.

YTD 10-6 (+4.3)

Detroit @ Boston Under 10 (-106)
(Bonderman,Burkett)

Don't let the big ERA's fool ya, both these starters are throwing well.
Bonderman has 7 quality starts in a row, while Burkett has 6 out of 7.
Bonderman has participated in unders in 6 consecutive starts, and is 7-0 to the under on the road this year, including giving up just 2 ER in 6 IP in his one Fenway start. Also, in his last three starts, he's given up 16 hits and just 3 BB's in over 19 IP for a WHIP of .983.
Burkett has contributed to 3 straight unders himself, and has given up just 4 ER in 13 IP vs. Det. this season. That includes a 1 ER in 6 IP performance against them in Fenway.
The Sox pen has been on fire, with a 0.56 ERA over their last 10, and Detroit's pen, while still not great, has shown improvement.
With a line of 10, both teams should conceivably score 5 apiece (hypothetically of course). In the month of July, Boston has scored 5 or less in 12 of 17 games, and 6 of their last 7. The Tigers have scored more than 5 only 3 times in 16 July games.
Add in the fact that the high scoring Red Sox have gone under in 10 of their last 12, and this one seems almost too good to be true.

I suppose we'll see.
