HERE'S THE UNDERDOG CARD FOR TODAY
First off going to make a 2 unit play on:
Toronto Blue Jays +110 *2 Units*
They Jays smoked the NYY yesterday, and now will have their ace on the mound. Halladay is 17-5 this season, and 10-2 on the road with a 3.18 ERA. Pettitte this season compiles a 13-7 record and a 4.66 ERA overall. Have to ride the Blue Jays bat here, and anytime I can get Halladay as a underdog value - I will have to play it!
Early Plays:
New York Mets +220
Mets finally won their first game in a while by a 8-6 margin yesterday against the Phillies. Today, Trachsel with a 6-5 Road record and a descent 3.46 ERA will face Millwood of Philadelphia, who is 5-6 at home and a very similar 3.37 ERA. Trachsel is a solid pitcher, and just 'maybe' the Mets might make this two wins in a row. Getting anything above +200 with Trachsel on the mound is a value play in my opinion.
Tampa Bay Devil Rays +165
Angels have lost 5 in a row, and the DRays have won 3 out of their last 4 games. Ortiz is not invincible, he is human - he has a 6-4 record on the road with a 4.35 ERA. If Kennedy can maintain a descent game, the DRays have a good shot at cashing tonight.
Texas Rangers +125
Thomson of the Rangers have won 4 out of his last 5 starts; compiling an average of a 3 ERA in those recent games. The Rangers can 'explode' at any time with their bats. Rangers have won only twice in their last 8 games - expect another close game in Baltimore...Rangers at plus money is the way to go?!?
Cleveland Indians +165
Sure the Indians have lost 6 in a row, and the WhiteSox have won 5 out of their last 6 games. So why would someone play the Indians? Well, Davis of the Indians somehow has a winning record this season (11-8) and a 4.54 ERA. Colon on the other is 8-12 this season with a 4.36 ERA. Furthermore, Colon has lost 6 out of his last 7 starts. Indians are bound to win aren't they (especially with Davis on the mound)?
Kansas City Royals +150
Wilson is 2-0 against Oakland this season. Oakland won last night due to KC's 9th inning fiasco. Hudson is a very good pitcher but this could be closer then expected.
