Used catcher Jason Kendall in the leadoff spot tonight. When was the last time anyone remembers a catcher leading off? I am not saying it is the wrong thing to do tonight for the Pirates, it's just unusal. I can't recall any catchers leading off right now. Just a little comment on baseball's do and don'ts.

He's a solid leadoff man. Faster than the average catcher.

That is odd, although he does have 126 steals through his 8th season. But only with 5 stolen bases this year, caught 4 times.

Good catch, would of went against it!
