Both the Anaheim and Atlanta game that you asked about won (for you), a tip of the hat to you sir. I've always said publicly I felt you were better in baseball than I was, I have no ego on these sort of things. I call it the way I see it. You were ahead of me last year and if we had finished would have in all likelihood been ahead at the end of this year.

Anyway nice job, hope you made something on it.

Let's not kid ourselves Patrick. As good as I am at MLB I can't cap NBA or NFL nearly as well as you and bow down to you as the better overall capper between us two. I didn't mean to criticize your picks but I just saw problems with a few of them. I have no doubt you'll be up by the end of the MLB season and I wish you all the luck in achieving that goal.w

I think discussion by two good handicappers is great.. I think other people learn from it and healthy discussion can help you both become better.

good luck to both of you!

Discussion by two handicappers on games is great if they had been doing this on a daily basis. Jakes timimg on this one was very suspicious imo. In the future in non-agenda threads it would be great. In fact I may post something in my thread from now on saying feel free to agree or disagree.

Raiders, since I was kicked out of the challenge by once or twice a week postings are not toast. All I'm doing now is posting my opinions on some of the more prominent posters thread. You'll see the timing wasn't suspicious as it will become my staple here since I am no longer posting my picks.

I agree Tekari - I am never upset at anyone asking about my plays. As my record tonight indicates we all need to learn as much as we can. Makes us better in the long run and that is all I am interested in.

Jake - If I am better at some sports (which I don't really like to say anyway) it is because I am more experienced that's all. When you are as old as I am you will be more rounded than you are now. You realize you can't wait all year for "your sport" to be in season so you make a conscious effort to learn the other sports. I am probably more consistant at this stage because I am mediocre at all of them, LOL. Easy to be steady when the bar's not set very high.

Jake- If you were posting your picks in the baseball forum I'd have no problem with this. In fact if you came in my thread daily and said Raiders I don't like TB tonight. Bos is great at home and they can hit. This would be constructive. In my eyes it looks like you're just trying to stay visible for other reasons. I say post your picks or stay out of threads of posters such as Irish. Just one man's opinion.

Raiders - thanks as I know you are trying to help but I think it's great that Jake chime in. Or anyone else for that matter. They are welcome in my threads anytime. We WANT everyone to be visible around here, regardless of the reason.

Discussion is great for all of us.

I was just trying to comment. Like I said, the only reason I'm now going to be chiming in on some of the better posters' threads is because they are some of the better poster's, and if they have a different opinion than me, I'd like to learn their point of view. Unless I get reinstated (As I hope on getting), that will be my contribution to this forum. It's not to bash, just to figure out the opposite standpoint. A little knowledge never hurt anyone.

I'm a little confused (so what's new)...

TRK used to go all around the web running down some folks' plays, "Heineken" comes to mind, just to set their record straight and combat their claims -- false claims mostly. He would then keep their record (wins/losses) in the Rubber Room.

We all know Jake is being coy! If he says otherwise he is being less than honest. I've took my jabs at Jake but banning him from THE MLB CHALLENGE seems strange to me!

Jake should stop his BS shillin' for lifesabet and TheRx should stop their BS too.

You are correct about HEINEKEN being monitored by me even though he posted solely at Freepicks,I started this gig first to set out to prove that NO ONE can win betting over a full season in any sport! Boy I was proved wrong in this way of thinking many many times over!,however the challenge then evolved into me trying to find people who claimed there record was much better than it actually was and trying to post the TRUE records(while at the same time hopefully giving some people some winners from the various cappers).
Frank if you remember way back when i first started the challenge it was done in response to JAKE calling me out saying i was wrong about everyone losing ,so in truth if not for JAKES disagreeing with my statement so strongly there would not be a Challenge at all today!
I can't find the thread now, probably because i was under a different posting name at the time, but JAKE'S response to me was indeed the creation of the CHALLENGE!
But you are indeed correct about Heineken and possibly some others also.
thank you Frank.
