I have been looking real hard at the DBacks. Webb caps out a lot better than fill in starter Zerbe, also I expect Barry to sit in a day game following a night game. The problem is the Giants are playing such great baseball, after tonight they will be 34 and 15 at home. To me betting against a strong team playing at home is just asking for trouble. I really wanted to find some strong reasons to bet on the Dbacks, but all that shows is Webb being better than Zerbe. I have to pass.

Good post Wil- Now that everyone knows about Webb the price isn't that great with Ari being on the road. Zerbe's making his first start and as you stated that's the difference. In 36.2 innings he's allowed 45 hits and BAA is .315. Ari is 11-4 in games Webb has pitched.

I'm looking at Kerry Wood -157, he has been pitching great, and tommorows game is big for the Cubs, with their Ace on the hill, new additions (Lofton, Ramirez) both took collar tonight, as did Sosa. Pressure is on Cubs to produce. Padilla has been throwing well and the Phils no pushovers but I will not be suprized to see Wood blind them. Weather does'nt look to be a factor, I checked. Anyway Cubs less -160 looks like a play, Baker will have his A team on the field, he has his team at 500 and needs to keep pace with a red hot Astro team.

Thanks I may add that one. I had the Brew Crew last night. Rusch is unhittable and he leaves after 7 up 2-1. You know the rest.

I am on TB, O's, and Brewers tomorrow. Not sure if that is good for you though as I've been icy cold the last few days... Lean on Colorado also, but hate playing them on the road.

That's the only team i've had a decent read on since the break. The F-ing A's have killed me. Villone can't pich more than 5 innings. While Houston's bullpen has been awesome they are overworked. Most bullpen innings pitched in the NL.

Joey- Every time I look at the standings in the braggers contest you're on top. I'm glad we're on the same side Thurs. I keep laying off Col away because of that road record and every time I do they win so I've given in.

Glife- Good point about that bullpen. I totally overlooked it. That's why I love this board. You can't see everything yourself.

Tekari- Looks like lots of guys are moving to the bases forum. I'm not giving up my RR membership but I would like to see a couple more guys here. Good Poster has the midas touch as everything he plays is gold. J2 always cracks me up.

Yes i agree.. this time of the year is slow and it's hard for the RR to thrive.

I think it will be back in form for football. The RR thread you have during college basketball was great, and the info from dimes etc. was very valuable to me. Hope you can continue it with football.

Liking the Baltimore pick alot. I got on that one for sure. I'd like to hear more about why you like Chacon and the Rocks. Chacon game back from injury to get rocked last time out. Even though Brown hasn't won in his last 4 starts, he has pitched pretty damn well. In his last 3 starts the guy has given up just 5 runs, holding a 1.22 WHIP and 2.50 ERA over that time. Is this more of a fade on LA's offense? An explanation would help me out here. Thanks buddy

Jake- To tell the truth I may be on the wrong side of the Col game but I'm expecting Chacon to be much sharper this game. He did get rocked last game but did have 6 K's in 4 innings. LA only avgs 3.6 runs per game and is last in the league. A lot of this can be blamed on playing in LA but even with Burnitz they have lost 4 of the last 5 and 2 of 3 to Col. In what should be a low scoring game it's too big a price for me to pass up. GL

More LA stuff:

Dodgers are lowest scoring team in the league at 3.6 runs per game.
Dodgers trail the league in hits with 8.3 per game.
Dodgers trail the league in walks with 2.4 per game.
