Gonzalez vs Escobar

Hard for me to pass on this price. Tampa is hitting the ball well and this is by far their best pitcher. Gonzalez is 4-4 with a 3.73 ERA, 2.61 ERA and 1-0 record in his last 3 games. Not bad for a team that is 37-66, 29 games below playing .500 baseball. Escobar is a good arm but has a 6.37 career ERA and a 4-6 record when pitching against DRays. Tampa has beaten Toronto 7 of their last 10 games so this team will go in thinking they can win. Nice price here for a team hitting well and throwing their "ace".

Beurhle vs May

Tough to go against a team as hot as the White Sox, 9-1 in last 10 games and 8-0 in Beurhle's last 8 starts. Still can't get say enough for the kind of games May is throwing these days. He was 0-4 at one point this year and now is 5-4. He won 5 straight starts before picking up a no decision in his last game where he went a full 7 innings and still only gave up 2 runs. In fact in his last 6 starts he hasn't given up more than 2 runs in any of those starts. Both teams have been crushing left-handed pitching (.372/.300) in their last 10 games but the going will be a little tougher today. KC swept these guys at home in their first series and are 13-3 in game one of a series after a win. Like the home team here.

Petitte vs Appier

When I play the Yanks it's like me playing an over, I am against betting them to begin with so I need a little extra. Sorry Yank fans but they just aren't my favorite team. Anyway the days of the Angels ripping lefthanders are done and gone. In fact they are .219 of late against them and facing a pretty decent one today. Petitte doesn't have huge stats or overly impress on the mound but he is winning, in fact he has won 7 decisions in a row. Four of those 7 on the road where he is tonight and where the visiting team has won 4 of 6 in this match-up this year. Yanks will have to score runs to win this game as Petitte won't shut them down but I like them to do just that. Yanks win this one 8-5.

Irish, I hope we can hang on in this one.

Anytime the Rays are +200 or more with either Gonzalez or Zambrano pitching I will play them every time. Although, I only got the Rays at +190 in this one.

Billy glad you hit them as well, figured you might. With Gonzalez and Z-man they make nice dogs at these prices because they hit decently, it's just that pen that makes you sweat it out. Glad you played them and cashed too.

Thanks Newspaper, I know what you mean. I had 5 plays today and almost didn't bet it either, I don't win many +200 plays. It's like throwing a 4 or 10 in craps with max odds, you don't do it all the time but it's nice when it hits.
