The surging Chicago White Sox tonight look to close the gap on division rivals Kansas City when they complete a three-game set.

The White Sox have won 11 of their last 12 to improve to 56-51 (.523) and just two games behind the Royals in the battle for the AL Central. Chicago routed Kansas City 15-4 last night setting season highs for hits (19) and home runs (6).

31 year-old right-hander Esteban Loaiza looks to continue his stellar season tonight. Through his last 10 starts Loaiza has a simply fantastic 58 K's to just 11 BB's. In fact his overall numbers in the AL make for very impressive reading...first in ERA (2.19), fourth in WHIP (1.06), fifth in Win Percentage and BAA (.722 and .226), sixth in wins (13) and seventh in K's (115). The White Sox are averaging 6.8 runs per game since the All-Star break and that should be more than enough offence for Loaiza.

Kansas City are just 4-6 recently and overall this season are 57-48 (.543).

Rookie right-hander Kyle Snyder is just 1-5 with a 4.54 ERA in his career thus far and the Royals are a woeful 3-10 when he starts. He is yet to win at home going 0-3 with a 6.35 ERA and in his last three appearances is 0-1 with a 5.29 ERA. The Royals have dropped their last four at home and will need to provide some run support tonight for their rookie.

The White Sox bats are red-hot right now and with an edge in pitching as well tonight we'll recommend them as a solid road favorite.
