Does anyone here play Action on most plays?

I am stilled pissed about the Cubs since I had it as listed,but in my eyes almost all the time I would only do listed. Please tell me when you would play action?

i almost always play action unless the only reason i play is for a pitcher, usually i look at bats more

is useful when you don't really care who starts. When you don't figure starting pitching in to your handicapping, playing action can't hurt. Another function is a certain pitcher Vs. action. This allows you to be sure you get the one pitcher you want to bet on or against or its no bet. Remember when you play action and there is a pitching change you get an adjusted line, depending on who replaces who. A good example is if Pedro got scratched tonight and the Red Sox started say Casey Fossum. In this case all action bettors would get an adjusted line of say Red Sox -150 or so. Another consequence of a late pitching scratch is Run-line and Totals bets are all no action, as they are automatically listed pitchers.

But it can adjust against you as well. Say you took boston last night action -165, and all the sudden Pedro is pitching you would have boston -400 last night. Not exactly a good way to figure out if you have a good price or not if betting action.

i never play action. i got burned bad early in my gambling career. i had $1,000 on the yankees who had orlando hernandez going against cleveland. then, at the last minute they switched to clemens going on 3 days rest. he got bombed and i lost. never again.
