A few of my thoughts on this one...
Mark Prior is coming off the DL (shoulder), and should be on a pitch count. Prior, a strike out pitcher, could very well see an early exit.
Brian Lawrence is really struggling with his sensitivity to tangent release. He normally records more than 2 strikeouts per walk. The last 23 2/3 IP he has surrendered 30 hits and 10 walks while striking out 13.
Lofton has added a real spark to this Cub offense batting .375 with 3 walks and 1 HR in the last 7 days. Sosa has hit 2HR's in the last 4 games and is 5/11 with 4HR's @ Qualcomm.
Prior and Lawrence are both decent hitters.
