Very nice to get an easy one with the Mets yesterday.
YTD 15-12 (+5.75)
Kansas City @ White Sox Under 9 (+104)
(K. Wilson, Colon)
Let me first say that I also like the Sox a bit here, as I think Colon shuts 'em down, but at this juice I know better. This game's just too big for K.C. The kind of game someone like Wilson could excel. He wasn't great in either of his two home starts, but he pitched 5 solid innings @ Oakland in his lone road start, and he's pitched 12 1/3 consecutive scoreless IP in relief.
But this is pretty much on Colon; 14 of his 21 starts have been under, and he's got a 1.52 ERA last 3. If he has a solid start, the scrappy Royals should keep it close, as neither team's batsmen have hit righties near as well as lefties lately.
But if he struggles, and we get deep into the bullpens, look out. We could be looking at Game 1 of this series again.
Still worth a shot though.
Good luck,
Space.
