Holy cow! Two wins in a row.
Just might be able to move out of the van on the beach after all.
YTD 16-12 (+ 6.79)
Texas @ NY Yankees Under 9.5 (Even)
(Benoit, Mussina)
Just like yesterday with Colon, I think Moose really shuts down the Rangers today. With a 2.62 ERA in his last 5 home starts (all Yank wins), and his team coming off a loss yesterday to Texas, he should excel. They haven't won this division yet after all, and can't afford to lose to them twice in a row at home
Unfortunately, just like yesterday, I also have to rely on an unproven pitcher on the road in Benoit. But the Yanks have a 31-21 under record at The Stadium, and, shockingly, have scored 4 runs or less 6 of their last 9 home games against Texas. And that's against such household names as Myette, Thomson (twice), and Joaquin Benoit in a very nice outing last year.
I hope I'm not jinxing myself by saying that I really like this one a bunch. If I had poorer money management, I may have gone 10 units. But I'm one of those losers that's been known to practice patience. No game is more of a lock than the next IMO. Maybe I'm a pussy, but I've always believed the fewer plays the better. I'll beat that asshole one game at a time.
Anyway, I also like Clev. as the home dog against Seattle a lot. But the wuss has a one-game-per-day promise to keep to himself during bases.
Oh well.....
Sorry for the rant... Good Luck,
Space.
