Final Analysis
Wood has not been his self the last couple of times out. He has given up 4 and 8 runs respectively in his last 2 outings while only going into the 5th and 6th innings. Before these two games he was on a roll, pitching back to back complete games against Florida. The last time he faced the Padres he held them to a team batting average of .185 while only allowing 2 earned runs. Wood has been the victim of poor run support on more than one occasion this year, however the Cubs have made a few new acquisitions recently that seem to be paying off. They also have been scoring a few more runs of late.

Eaton has pitched pretty well recently. In his last 10 outings he has given up more than 4 runs only once. Eaton has been the victim of poor run support from the streaky Padres. They will pile the runs up for a couple of games then go cold.
We look for the Cubs to get the win here today. They are a sound defensive team that have been scoring runs on a regular basis. We will go with Kerry Wood in this spot based on his past domination of the Padres.
We recommend a 2-Unit play on the Cubs -160

If you didn't notice they made 3 errors yesterday! And the most runs they've scored in the last 4 games is 4. And don't forget Nevin is back for the Pads. One other thing to consider is Alfon SUCKA didn't get any action yesterday..so if Wood dosen't go the distance you might see him. I'll take the home dog at a nice price...Wood will probably get bet up some more by game time.

Actually you made a very good call also.
We both should have been on the under.
As for the errors, the write ups are done the night before the actual game. Those 3 errors probably hadn't been made before the write up was actually finished.

Best of luck to you.
