Wade Miller is just awful. Out of 24 visiting starts he has won just 6 games. On the road he is 3-11. The Cubs have Kerry Wood who really is not as good a pitcher as people think. He is a good pitcher but not a great pitcher. He will never be a great pitcher until he stops walking hitters. Hell, he will walk the bases loaded and create lots of drama. He also needs to grow up and stop throwing temper tantrums in the dugout when he can't get out of trouble. Nope, Kerry is good, but not great.
I do know this, he is a better pitcher than Wade Miller. So at -1.43 at home seems like a great price against a team who's bats have sorta gone south. This game means a lot to both teams as they play each other like 10 more times this year.
My play though is on the over as I can't trust Woods enough to get the outs when he gets into trouble. His contol will just go south for an inning and he will give up runs. The Cubs will score against Wade Miller and if the Astros bats wake up it's a bonus. Over 7 at +100 is the play tonight no matter what the wind is doing. Wrigley is an "under" park most of the time. But look for both teams to be agressive with a lot of hit and run action. If Woods can't go the distance don't think the bullpen can save the day even though they had the day off yesterday. The Cubs have no "true" closer like a Billy Wagner. It just looks like a great "over" play to me tonight.
