The Royals were blanked last night. Regarless, I will stick with the dog theme.

Tonight:
2X-- TORONTO BLUE JAYS +160
The Blue Jays have lost five of eight and are 10 games back in the AL wild card race. Stranger things have happened and the reports out of Toronto is that the team is still motivated and believes they have a shot at obtaining a postseason berth. Time will tell. Time will also tell with the Blue Jays starter for tonight, Corey Thurman. Thurman is a recent call-up with a lot of potential. He made his starter debut against the defending World Champs on August 2nd. He won that game 6-1. He struggled in his second start against Texas. Thurman has big league experience under his belt, but it comes as a reliever. He is still learning how to be a starter. I expect Thurman to bounceback tonight. He has been given a chance down the stretch and I believe that will be some motivation for the youngster. Toronto is not a push-over on the road. They enter 33-28 on the road YTD. At this price, I'll take a shot.

Good Luck.

Adding:
2X-- NEW YORK METS +160
There is nothing in the Mets numbers that will give this play an edge tonight, but I like the way the Mets have competed lately. Tonight they have a pitcher with career success on the mound and a very nice price.

STEVE TRACHSEL vs. SAN FRANCISCO since 1997
TRACHSEL is 4-1 when starting against SAN FRANCISCO with an ERA of 2.83 and a WHIP of 1.343.
His team's record is 7-2 (+5.9 units) in these starts.

Good Luck.
