Boston has taken sole possession of the Wild Card for now. Tonight they travel to Seattle for another tough series on their current road trip. Jeff Suppan has had zero luck against this franchise in his career, but he has not pitched for a team with this kind of offense in his past meetings. Look for Suppan to keep the Sox in this game. The Mariners have not been playing well lately and the Red Sox are coming off a huge comeback win in Oakland yesterday. Grady Little has kept them believing in Boston. This final push may be for real this time. Boston should win this one.

The Reds have been abandoned by the everyday bettor because of their recent wholesale changes, but they have been winning games despite all of that. They got a huge monkey off of their backs last night by defeating the Diamondbacks for the first time in 17 meetings. I will stick with the Reds here tonight. Graves has not pitched well in his career against Houston, but most of his work was done in the pen. Cincinnati has found ways to win at home all year-- I'll take a shot tonight.
