Tonight:
2X-- CHICAGO WHITE SOX -120
The White Sox just seem to be destined for good things this year. Last night, they overcame a no hit bid by Angels starter Jarrod Washburn. Frank Thomas hit a two-run walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth to snap them out of their recent funk. Look for that momentum to carryover to tonight. Sox starter Jon Garland has not had any recent success, but I think the home cooking will make a huge difference. I will back the Sox.

Good Luck.

CAPPERJOHNMD, we like the play and are on the Sox as well tonight. We see them getting to Shields here at home much better than they did last time in Anaheim. We also like the OVER here for that reason too, along with the fact that Garland will give-up his share of runs. We see something like an 8-4 or 9-4 type final, hope we're right. Best of luck.

Against ya on this one CapperjohnMD. Last nights win for the Sox was a fluke. Washburn looked great with a no-no going until bottom of the 7th. It's true that the Sox cashed a ticket (I'm glad they did) but it was clearly obvious that the right side lost the game. I was surprised Flash got out of the 9th, even more surprised Skipper Mike pitched to Thomas and split the outfield. He made a mistake and it cost him the game. I don't expect the same poor coaching tonight. Lot's of pressure will be put on Garland when the Angels get on the bases. Shields for Anaheim shut down the Sox once this year pitching almost 8 innings with an era of 1.17 in that game. It's hard to go against a guy who has thrown 100+ innings and has an era of 2.15....best of luck.

Stalker, I weighed your reasoning for this game, but the moral of the story in my mind is this Angel team is not the same team it was last year. They have lost their luster and the team they are putting on the field these days is not real good. It is hard to argue against Shields numbers, but I can only believe this guy still has a relief pitchers mentality. When he faced the White Sox in Anaheim it was a tired team and in the midst of a road trip which they never play well on-- the west. Shields is only making his 6th start of the year. His good start against the Angels was only his 2nd winning decision as a starter. Shields was the long reliever for this team and earned his shot from there. I think we have a good game here from both sides, but I have to lean on the home team. Good Luck and thanks for the feedback.
