honestly I think that if Atl. were in a tighter pennat race you would have seen walk,but since they are 12 games up I guess they decided to let someone try to get him out.I don't know but I personally would walk him about any time he came to bat unless the bases were loaded , and even then would consider it.He is killing the ball right right now and even though I don't like the dude imo he is the MVP in the majers right now.I had SF last night and I couldn't believe they pitched to him but was glad they did.
why? because cox knows he has the n.l. east wrapped up and wants to see if any of his guys got the balls/ability to get bonds out. i agree with the above post that if it was a playoff game, cox would've pitched around him.
without kent, there's no one in the lineup even close to bonds. he may walk 3 or 4 times a game in the playoffs.
