Sorry, had to get back to baseball for just today. I hate this SOB so much, ruined enough of my unders both with the Jays & the A's...guess the A's had seen enough of the punk in one year, and ship his sorry goatee ass to ChiTown. He'll fit in well with the White Sox crowd...

This man is a wreck, and the last guy I'd want as a closer.well next to Irabu, but I have no clue what clubs see in him. He may have cost the A's game 7 against the Twins with his horrific pitching in the 9th inning.

believe it or not, foulke is worse. i think i could hit .300 off keith foulke. how the hell do you lose the closer's role on a team with such a shitty bullpen as chicago?

Agree with you totally. He has one speed:
fast over the plate and fast over the fence (home run). Good riddance to bad rubbish.

If the A's don't get a real closer they will
never win the big game.

Good luck,

Money

That MOFO blew the World Series for us this year and I'm glad he is far away from Oakland, you say Foulke sucks more then Koch....maybe he did last year but remember Beane finds those people who sucked with other teams that will produce with the A's. Foulke picked up his performance at the end of the year and went like 15 innings without giving up an earned run, he doesn't walk many people and if it doesn't work out you still got Joe Valentine who had the most saves in the minors. I just hope this team can stay together and we'll get it done soon! Maybe it could start with a baseball stadium....that would be good.

If the A's turns Foulke into a starter and he does well I am going to kill myself.....

Keith struggled last year but how good are you if you end up with a sub 3.00 year and its disappointing.

Blue you think you might hit .300 against him but the two previous years only one closer had better numbers for that span.. Riveria...

Which is why I know you are crazy if you are comparing Foulke to Thigpen. Like I said the man had a bad year but to imply a dude that has given up 260 hits in 351 innings the last 4 years is easily hittable is insane. Over the same 4 years he had 78 walks, so we are talking about someone with a WHIP BELOW 1.00 over 4 years. Who in there right mind would not want that!!!

His K's were down last year but over the 4 year span of 351 innings how about 347 strikeouts.

So in essense we have a pitcher who generally allows less than 1 baserunner an inning and strikes out 1 an inning. Foulke's mistake is when he has a bad inning it is REALLY bad and memorable.

You must be a Cub Fan.

if he's that good, why would kenny williams trade him and the minor league's best closer for koch?

and...don't talk to me about a "four year span". talk to me about last year. players lose it - it happens all the time.

look at frank thomas - four year span numbers look pretty good (if you take only the last four full years and kick out his injury-shortened seasons). but, look at last year! frank is done, and so is keith.

Blue give me a break. You live in Chicago. Foulke was traded because of money and because Kenny wants a guy who throws 100+ And please don't tell me you are determining who is good based off Kenny Williams trades or trades for him (LOL.) It ain't like Kenny's record is too good so far.

You keep harping on last year. 2-4 record 11 saves 3 blown saves 2.90 era, 77 IP, 65 hits & 13 walks. Oh I forgot K's were down 58. Now I have already admitted this year was bad.... FOR HIM. He had a rough beginning but was basically great the 2nd half of the season.

Please explain all the signs you see that he's lost it. I don't see too many Oakland folks complaining. Furthermore Billy Beane I would guess is a pretty good judge of talent.

Finally, rarely and I do mean rarely is a closer in the minor leagues your closer in the majors.

By the way you never did answer the Cub question..... /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

foulke did turn it on the second half but he really sucked as the sox closer last year. it seems like that position more than most is mental. maybe he'll be fine in oakland...i guess we'll see.

yes, cub fan. don't even start.

LOL.
The white sox are In for a great year.

Vegas are you still pissed about Sirotka? Look Wells sucked so it didn't matter. We are well aware of are shortcomings.....

I sure hope that the White Sox are not expecting too much from the "Billy Goat".

Someone will put Foulke, Koch, and Kim in a slow boat and sail it to Japan. The Moe, Larry, and Curley of MLB closers.

wil.
