Tonight:
2X-- MILWAUKEE BREWERS -110
The head-to-head battle for the NL Central basement moves to the grudge match tonight. These teams have split the first two in this series and Milwaukee will be looking to put two games between them and last place Cincinnati. Milwaukee will send out a rookie and recent call-up to the hill. Lefty Luis Martinez will make his Major League debut tonight. Martinez had a combined 12-5 with a 2.13 ERA in 27 starts for Class AA Huntsville and Class AAA Indianapolis this year. Martinez went 4-0 with a 0.99 ERA in five starts for Class AAA Indianapolis. He has some real good talent. Look for Martinez to step right in and contribute immediately. Milwaukee has won 13 out of 15-- a team that hot I will take at this price.

Good Luck.

Good write-up CapperjohnMd! It makes sense. Do you know if Martinez pitched this year against the AAA Louisvile Team (Cincy Farm Club)? If so, I assume he did well with a 4-0 record and 0.99 era for Indy. Since Cincy has called up a lot of minor league players I'm sure Martinez has faced some of these guys in the past as well. I'll try to check on that, if so...this may be a play to really send it it on, especially since Martinez is having a great year. I'm with ya on this one!

Stalker, I had the same thought and tried to look for some of that info, but didn't get anything solid. I was using the same assumption as you here and didn't want to post without backing. If you find anything, I would appreciate the insight. Maybe we will bump this play up.. Nice thoughts Stalker.
