The Toronto Blue Jays go for their sixth win in seven games this afternoon when they travel to New York to take on the Yankees.

Toronto are an even 14-14 (+7 units) the last three seasons at Yankee Stadium and we're forecasting them to either win today or at worst lose by one run.

The Blue Jays are 72-70 overall and have been profitable for their backers on the road going 38-35 (+6.2 units). In today's role as a road underdog of +150 to +175 they are a stellar 8-4 (+8.8 units).

While the Yankees are 85-56 overall we are really only concerned about their performance for bettors. Overall this season they are -4.7 units and at home are just 39-30 for -17.7 units. Furthermore as a home favorite of -175 to -225 they are a woeful 17-16 for a bankroll busting -14.4 units. They have struggled this season in day games losing 14.2 units for bettors.

Toronto starter Kelvim Escobar is 10-8 with a 4.30 ERA this season. It's interesting to note that he has performed exceptionally well this season on the road posting a 7-1 record and 2.27 ERA. Considering the Yankees have scored a total of just 13 runs in their last six games so we're expecting Escobar to be able to contain them today. The Blue Jays are 4-6 when Escobar starts against the Yankees.

The Yankees counter with Mike Mussina who is 15-7 with a 3.22 ERA. He is 5-1 in his last nine starts and ranks second in the AL in WHIP, fourth in K's and fifth in ERA and batting average against.

While it's very tempting to take the Blue Jays on the money-line at +180 we are not keen to go against Mussina. Instead we will go with the security of the +1.5 and will still be getting them as an underdog.

Recommended Play: Blue Jays +1.5 +100

Good luck

I'm taking the UNDER with this one as well. Escobar has pitched well on the road and the Yanks have not hit well as you mention. On the other side, Mussina has gone over or pushed in his last 5 games at home. However, Toronto has gone under in 6 of their last 7 games.

I'm taking the UNDER at 9.0.
