ITS KINDA INSANE. HE DIDN'T EVEN MAKE THE ALL STAR TEAM IN HIS OWN CITY. THE YANKS GIAMBI ARE NOT A LOCK FOR PLAYOFFS AND NIETHER IS SEATLE SUZUKI.

The Twins will win that division...I think the value lies in Nomar at 5-1.

Guys, take the field. Loaiza is going to win Cy Young and MVP.

Why? Several reasons starting with how weak the field is in the AL. Nomar?! Look at that team. Their 8th place hitter has 20+ jacks. Its an offensive jaugernaut and which makes it much harder to select one. Seattle wont make the playoffs, so that takes their candidates off the list. Thomas wont be batting higher than .270 which makes his candidacy mighty tough, especially with Lee and Ordonez having better all around seasons.

Then you have Loaiza. The guy has been dominant down the stretch. His whole team feels confident they will get a 'W' when he walks out there, the surest sign they feel hes their MVP. The local writers (who have great influence with their peers on this stuff) have been gushing over him.

At 3 to 1, not a bad spot to take a guy who has been dominant all season.
