split the early games as i had the yanks and the under. here's my card tonight.
florida under 8
beckett vs. trachsel, nothing else needed to say. 2-1 game here.

pirates -105
pirates own the reds at cinci and have the pitching advantage in this one.

phillies +120, phillies over 8.5
phillies have more motivation going here and ortiz has had a few rough starts.

houston -165
another game that is a must win for the astros. oswalt being back on the bump will give them a huge lift.

dodgers -130
dodgers have the pitching advantage and the motivation here. the d-backs realize that they're pretty much out of the race and it will show.

red sox -150
the o's have been hot, but so have the r.sox. pitching is even in this one, but boston has the edge with the sticks. the yankees winning today will be the motivation the sox need to win.

w.sox under 8, w.sox -155
this game will have a playoff atmosphere. low scoring with two studs going head to head. look for the w.sox to pull off a close win here.

a's -220
hudson vs. sele, playoff position on the table here for the a's. nothing else needed to say.

as you can see, i've played every favorite and every game on the board. this is very uncommon for me, but i'm betting on the playoff contending teams against weaker opponents based mostly on motivation and pitching matchups. the only thing that scares me is that most of these teams are on the road. i guess we'll see!! if you guys have any insight or suggestions, let me know so i can scratch the play. good luck everyone

I like your write-ups.

Our Yanks/Tor game went over today. Escobar is 7-2 on the road and he pulls this crap. The Yanks haven't hit well lately and they use the first game of this series to break out the bats. Just my luck recently. I guess I'll just have to stop betting the totals on the first game of the series just like I've been avoiding the moneylines.

I like the over in the CWS/Twins game. While Lohse is pitching well lately he has been going over on the road. Colon is 6-2 over in his last 8 starts. Both teams have been scoring.

Since I picked them to go oever they probably will go under. LOL

Good luck tonight.

i knew that escobar was a big hit or miss guy and after the first inning, i knew the game wasn't going to stay under. he was leaving everything up. as for the w.sox game, i think the hitters will have a little added pressure and anxioty from such a big game. colon looks to be in form and has been lights out his last two starts.
good luck

Sometimes a guy just can't win. Chicago and Twins score 7 runs in the first 2 innings and then don't score again. How many men were left on base??

OK, I'll stop my whining now.

Good luck.

BigGames,
I couldn't believe that either. i began watching the football game and had already chalked it up for a loss. that's how the game goes sometimes. colon did throw a gem though didn't he. let's keep the winning going today. who do you like on today's board? i haven't had time to look because work is cutting into my handicapping time, but i'll post the games i like sometime this afternoon. have a good one!!
