I have followed the Oakland starter (a family friend) closely- since the last time he was in the bigs, playing for the Rangers. His stuff was awful (think Jose Lima at his worst). They say he's improved. He must have for the A's to be -155. I played the Angels earlier today for two dimes at +146. The Angels starter is making his first start ever, but even so, the pitchers are a wash at worst, which means that the line is saying that the A's hitting is much better than the Angels. Even though the A's are in a pennant race, this line is way too high.
