1* San Diego +110
(Williams/Eaton)

Williams has been a pitcher we've backed alot this year but he's struggled a little recently. In his last 5 starts he's given up 4 or more runs in 4 of those games. Eaton has been solid going 1-1 2.66 era in his last 3 starts, and in his 2 starts against SF he's given up only 8 hits in 13 innings but was hurt by 4 walks and some shoddy defense. SF hits only .247 against righties on the road and word in the local papers was that Alou planned on resting some starters with an 11.5 game lead and this being the last game of a road trip. Home teams are 9-1 in Montague's last 10 behind the plate.

This is the official play today, but I can tell you I like (may be the wrong word to use here...

) the Tigers tonight at +2.85 with Clemens going. Cornejo is red hot and just might make this one interesting at almost 3 units for 1. I will take a chance with the bankroll, but not making it an official play. Just blabbing...

Enjoy your evening, and good luck.

I was beginning to wonder when SF or Atlanta was going to start resting their starters. I was watching the Texas/Seattle game last night and the announcers noticed how many new Texas players were being given the chance to play. I may just have to fade the Rangers from this point out.

I know what you mean about the Tigers having a chance. Clemens has been hit hard lately and Cornejo has pitched well. I just have to go with the Yanks in this one due to the pennant being on the line. I feel they need an easy win and the Tigers provide that opportunity.

Even if the Tigers win I feel they are a good team to fade. I checked their last 16 games when they were winning the most games since the break. They are 6-10 with -0.62 units in their best run. I can't help but think they won't do that well from this point out so I'm fading them after checking out their chances.

Good luck tonight.

Wow, that was a sqeaker. What was Snow doing so far off the bag in that situation? Glad he was. Tigers played pretty well, and I don't feel too bad about taking that chance, but your point is well taken, BGO. Good luck to you.
