Why am I so confident?

They trail by 3.5 games. With only 19 games left to play, that's a pretty formidable deficit to overcome, particularly in a three-team race.

But KC has schedule on its side. 12 of its 19 games are against the woeful Indians and Tigers, terrible teams that the Royals should and have killed. The remaining 7? Vs. Chicago. If they can ratchet up their game a notch and take 4 or 5 of the games against the ChiSox, and whoop Cleveland and Detroit like they should, they'll win.

Um, what about the Twins, who's remaining schedule is:

1 @ CHW
4 @ CLE
3 vs CHW
3 vs DET
2 vs CLE
4 @ DET

plus they are 1 game out of first as it is. I think by pure schedule the Twins have the advantage.

Let's have that bet then.

I'll take the Royals for a dime, you take Minnesota for a dime, and if the ChiSox end up winning, we push.

Only things I would ask is that:

A) Money is sent ahead of time to *VERY* trustworthy RX monitor.

B) You give me a LITTLE bit of odds since KC is starting so far behind. Say, 5 cents for every half game? So if we did it today (KC 3.5 back) we do KC +135/Min -135. If the situation changes before the money is posted, the lines are affected as well. Sound fair?

I was totally willing to take the bet, but I was waiting until after today's NFL action first...

And I got smoked today, to the tune of over $5,000. I'm in no position to make side wagers.
