PITCHES TEN INNINGS OF SHUTOUT BALL, TO GET THE WIN.

MAYBE JERRY MANUAL AND DUSTY BAKER COULD GET SOME TIPS FROM CARLOS, THIS WOULD OF NEVER HAPPENNED ON A TEAM MANAGED BY ONE OF THOSE JACKASSES.

as well he should. only 99 pitches through 10.0 innings of work. THat's just too freakin' effective. 70 of the 99 were strikes!?! Only 4 balls left the infield.

Loaiza may get more interest considering he's playing for a playoff contender along with the fact that he's w/out a doubt the most improved.... and might never see a season like this for the rest of this career, but.......

Halladay has just faced much more tougher bats, especially being in division where your team has to play the Yanks & Red Sox 19 times a piece.

Meanwhile, Loaiza gets the confines of Detroit/Kansas/Cleveland/Minnesota. While Minny and Kansas have descent offensive threats, it can't even begin to compare with that of the yanks and bosox.

Granted. Loiza has pitched well in his only outing against the Yanks and Sox, he never had to endure a second game against them.

Further, the WhiteSox got to play the NL West in interleague play. Includes starts against the pitiful dodgers, pitiful diamondbacks and padres.

Give him credit, but give Roy the Cy.

"Toronto manager Carlos Tosca said Halladay would have pitched the 11th, if necessary"

Okay I admit I might be a homer. But give him credit and give Roy the Cy? What on earth are you talking about?

Loaiza beats Roy in almost every stat. His record against Boston, KC, Minn, New York, Oakland & Seattle (all winning teams) is 8-1.

The Cy Young is not figured on who played in the tougher division. When did that start for season award?

Give him the Cy because he pitched 10 innings, had a great pitch count, strike ratio and his manager said he could go 11? I love Roy Halladay but give me a break.

All i said is he wants it, and his manager is giving him a shot to do it, PERIOD. I'm sure the win meaned a lot at this point. My money is on Loaiza (see my other posts), JERRY MANUAL HAS NEVER LET A STRTER GO TEN INNINGS EVER, and I'm pretty sure Dusty Baker never has either.

After seeing Halliday's performance with my REAL money on Loaiza I took note, that's all, it was something of interest. If the sox and Blue Jays both missed the playoffs it could be closer than once thought. sox 76-66 blue jays 72-70.

TDogg. Not taking an opportune time to reopen this thread, didn't know there were any replies in it.

Just saw Mr.Loaiza latest performance...

2.1 ip, 4 hits, 4 er, 5 walks.

It may be finally happening..... BACK TO LIFE, BACK TO REALITY.

Lol, but as for the homer remark, I'm nowhere near a Jays fan. I despise the team and more specifically I despise Tosca.

BUT, "Loaiza beats Roy in almost every stat"

What the fu#K? Which stats? Are you looking at the stats?

The only category Loaiza dominates Halladay in is the ERA.

Take a look at Complete games. Halladay w/ 7, Loaiza with 1. Halladay with 20 wins, going for 21 tomorrow, while Loaiza still stuck on 19, and getting a loss added to his wins/loss column tonight.

And who can forget the winning streak Halladay strung together?

And yes, I realize Loaiza did well against his LONE starts against the Yanks and Red Sox, but he never faced them a 2nd time around, and that's when pitcher's tend to fold.

And since when does entering the playoff considered a Cy Young criteria? It isn't. It's just another factor that's always in the back of the minds of the writers when they vote. Same with strength of competition. And it's more glaring giving Loaiza gets constant cracks at the Tigers and Indians. THe DRays and Orioles aren't exactly mountaineous hurdles either, but least they tend to put up some fight .

Case closed..... in fact I think Loaiza may have closed it himself with his last 3 starts. Pressure.....Loaiza...... tremors.

oh and does nothing irritate you WhiteSox fans more than seeing Loaiza wear his hat like that... lol. Honestly, as everytime he pitched as Jay, the way he wore that hat was enough to get me riled up.

SCREW IT ON TIGHT!

Did you guys see Prior pitching for the Cubs tonight? He put in a tight performance and Dusty yanks him with 2 outs in the 9th! He was one out from putting in a complete game!

That Dusty Baker has balls.
