We're forecasting a low-scoring contest tonight as the Montreal Expos open a three-game set against the New York Mets.

The Expos are 77-76 overall this season and are just two games away from being eliminated from the NL wildcard race.

The disappointing Mets have lost five straight to drop back to 63-88 overall. They come off a three game series against the Cubs in which they were swept at home and scored just three runs.

Right-hander Javier Vazquez (12-11, 3.38 ERA) gets the start for Montreal. He ranks second in the NL in strike-out's, sixth in WHIP and tenth in ERA. He boasts the awesome ratio of 67 K's to just 19 BB's through his last ten starts. Vazquez went 4-1 with a 1.15 ERA in August but has dropped his last three starts. The Under is 10-4 when he starts on the road...in fact 61% of the Expos road games this season have stayed Under. Vazquez is 7-6 with a 3.38 ERA lifetime against the Mets.

Steve Trachsel has gone 6-2 recently to improve to 15-9 this season with a 3.92 ERA. He goes for a career high 16th win of the season tonight and like Vazquez he also has a stellar K's to BB's ratio in his last ten starts, striking out 39 batters while showing excellent control to walk just 15. Lifetime against the Expos he is 7-4 with a 4.42 ERA and the Under has cashed in 8 of his last 10 starts against them.

These teams have played 23 times at Shea Stadium the last three seasons and the Under is 15-8...expect another pitcher's duel tonight.

Recommended Play: Under 7.5 -115

Good luck
