Has anyone heard anything about this game? When I checked the hurricane path for the college game tonight I noticed it was going to go right over Baltimore. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets rained out.

how long until it is called? Dosn't look like Baltimore will get any relief soon.

I was watching the game looks like lots of rain in the forecast. Yanks bettors are lucky as Baltimore made a huge baserunning error or could have been up 2-1 going into delay.

You are right Wiz Kid. Here's the story-

Yankees, Orioles tied when game called because of Isabel Sept. 18, 2003
SportsLine.com wire reports

BALTIMORE -- Hurricane Isabel and the Baltimore Orioles teamed to deny Mike Mussina his 200th career victory Thursday.

A steady rain and the imminent arrival of hurricane-like winds caused the game between the Orioles and New York Yankees to be stopped after five innings in a 1-1 tie.

The individual statistics will count, and the commissioner's office will determine whether the game will be made up -- the teams play in New York on the final weekend of the season. Umpires called the game after a 44-minute wait.

The Yankees, closing in on their sixth straight AL East title, started the day 5½ games ahead of Boston in the AL East.

The Orioles blew a chance to take the lead in the bottom of the fifth, and umpires called for the tarp immediately after as the last out was made. Had Baltimore scored, the Orioles would have gained a split of the four-game series.
