jfc - 3 for 3, 9 RBI's through the 5th inning. Grand slam, 3 run hr and 3 run double. Reached the over all by himself.

That trade will end up being a steal for the Pirates: Bay for Giles. He was leading the minor leagues in the triple crown catagories when he was called up by the Padres. Hit a HR in his first game, then broke his wrist the second game. A fantasy league sleeper for next year.

As a long-suffering Bucs' fan, I hope your right. Kendall will be gone to SD with his buddy Giles if they can agree how much of his salary Bucs will have to eat for a defense-less singles hitter.(only reason he's still there)

Bulldog: I'm a Cub and Padre fan and I hated to see the Padres get rid of him. I think Kendall's best days are behind him unless he changes positions. The Padres traded Bay because they are trying to open their new stadium with a bunch of big names.
