Happy B- DAY MC

With you on Marlins, I see Washburn, though getting a win at home only because he has been so poor at home.....trend reversal, also playing role of spoiler

I also like Houston and the over against San Fran, who should lay down...What do you think?

Have a good day

I do not see San Fran laying down for a few reasons.

1. You don't want to enter the post season in the midst of a low. It's hard to snap out of a funk. The teams that enter the postseason real hot have an upper hand in the 1st round.

2. Moises Alou is a Cub. Felipe Alou is the manager of the Giants. (enuff said)

3. Dusty Baker is the manager of the Cubs. Barry Bonds is on the Giants. (enuff said)

4. Jerome Williams is still a rookie and wants to impress.

5. The Giants are still fighting for home field advantage. They are only 2 games behind the Braves, who have a tough matchup tonight vs Florida. Game 7 in the bay is alot better than game 7 in the home of the tomahawk chop.

I am not saying that the Giants will win. I am saying that you can not use your theory.

You bring in some very good points on the twists with the teams....It does put away the lay down theory...I agree I like Houston, but maybe not as much. Thanks

Newport - Exactly. Unless a team desperately needs the rest, you can not use the lay down and die theory. There is still a great lot at stake here. Home field all the way to the WS is a huge incentive. The Giants will not just lay down and die.

bigboydan - Yes buddy! That would be some nice frosting. Thoug, I will not be able to complain so much, because the gambling gods have been nice to me of late.

I have been thinking about this. My fortunes turned around in the middle of August. Now 2 things happened then: 1. I got married. 2. I made a post, titled: "An Ode to Super Scout". In that post I asked Super Scout to speak good of me before the gambling gods. So which one is it?

TAHOEREBEL - Hey! Whats up my man? I took Seattle, so you know I like them. I think Ageless Wonder gets his 20th victory tonight. Seattle NEEDS this game to stay alive. Washburn is not the Washburn of last season.

As for the Dodgers....
I am not in love with Perez this year and the Padres are not terrible. They have a solid lineup with Nevin and Giles in there. At home they might be able to sneak one out. Of course LA has plenty to play for and may be the play here but the line scares me a bit. If it was a little higher (i think it should be) then I would forsure stay away. I don't make any plays over -160 and if it was any lower like 145 then I would stay away because of a web (my name for traps). This line is on the border. If you want to play this game then go with the Dodgers because they are still in the playoff mode.

Happy birthday, MC. I should send you a card and a case of brew for the money you've put in my pocket the last few weeks. Didn't think anyone could beat baseball, but you are living proof it can be done. Thanks and have many, many more--birthdays and wins!
