Cubs? In 2 years they will. I don't think it's their time yet. If they can keep Sammy and their pitching, 2 years they will have a chance at the series. I am huge on the Astros this year. Oswalt and Miller are both studs. Carlos Hernandez should be ready. They will have studly pitching, and with Jeff Kent and the core they had, I have them as the 3rd best team in the majors this year. They will surprise alot of people. Or so I hope.

Do you think Milwaukee will be disbanded?

Spacious K - Thanks for bringing to my attention that I left out Milwaukee. Not that it matters

Kman: That is certainly understandable. No disrespect intended.

Jake,

Carlos Hernandez is out for the season. Shane Reynolds is coming back after missing a season. Craig Biggio will be playing in the outfield. Do you really think that the Astros have what it takes to win a pennant? They have a lot of things to sort out, it seems.

Monkey, I know it is a stretch, but I think they'll be able to do some damage this year with their explosive offense (Kent in the mix) and their two studs. It was a really tough call, and could definately go either way, but I think they have enough firepower to get the job done. We'll see. Good luck this year buddy.

Texas over Los Angeles

Stop laughing, please.

First, I have no loyalty towards the Rangers. But Showalter will make an immediate impact. With the additions of Urbina, Yan, and Fultz in the bullpen, plus the return of Zimmerman and the axing of Rocker, this unit will be greatly improved from last year's version.
I Rod's loss will hurt, but Gonzalez is as healthy as ever, and Everett should return to form. Mench is ready to break out, and with Blalock and potentially Texiera, they'll have a good mix of youth and experience offensively.
The starting pitching, as always is the question. Park averaged 15 wins the previous five years before a bad hammy ruined last season for him. Valdes returns, and had a 3.90 ERA for Texas before he was sent to Seattle. Ryan Drese ranked second among AL rookies in starts, wins, and K's.
Farfetched? Maybe. But at these odds I'll take it.

Texas OVER 81 wins -110
Texas to win AL pennant +2500
Texas to win World Series +5500

All lines from Pinnacle.

Good luck to all,
Space.
