Pinnacle has Cubs -278.

Prior wasn't supposed to pitch until Saturday. But the Cubs need the win, so they pushed him up. Hmmmmmmmmmm. Prior has been TOUGH recently. However, will the short rest affect him?

Josh Fogg has been poo-poo lately. And the Cubs have been hitting well. 43 runs in their last 7 games!

But it is tough to lay -278. Especially on a short-rest pitcher. Any thoughts?

My thought on that is Baker wants Prior to start the first game of the playoffs early next week, so that's why he bumped him up. They know they'll win the division. He's thinking ahead. Also they do want this first game of the series since Pitt has taken the last two openers this season at Chicago. Not today!! Prior will be "ON" his game, but I do see a close battle until the end. Relieving will be the key for the Cubs today in my mind. Not a lot of runs being scored here, but the Cubs will pull this one out with good pitching, but I do hope it is a blowout for the home team since I'll have much $$$$ on them today. Don't be scared to lay the big number...it should pay off well. Pirates didn't score much the last three games against the Mets plus Prior has "DEALT" against the Pirates this season. Relieving, Relieving, Relieving has to come through today because Prior won't pitch long. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!
