Due to yesterday's loss the Yankees are now -140 to win the series with the Twins. Before Game 1 I believe the Yankees were somewhere around -280 to win. Does anyone else see value in this like I do??

In a 5-game series, I don't think -140 is much value.

Especially when you gotta go to the Twinkie Dome. That stadium definitely favors the speed/hustle of the Twins.

Good point. You owuld be betting the Yankees would win 3 of 4 and with the confidence the Twins have now, that seems it might be hard for even the Yankees to do.

Don't get me wrong, we're talking about the Yankees, and the Yankees seem to have that post-season magic.

But after Game 1, I was really hoping for better than -140 on the series line.

Giambi hit .250 during the season, and he was 0-4 (with 2 whiffs, 3 LOB) yesterday. If Giambi continues this slump, I have serious doubts about the Yanks.

Plus, I've got this funny feeling that the Twins could be the Angels of 2003. They don't have any superstars, but they have great chemistry and seem to make the plays when it matters.

Every series is unique but history says in a 5 game series the winner of game one wins the series much more often then not. Anything above Pick is probably not a good bet if like Yankees.

Bankroll- The Yankess would be a great bet at that price just as long as they don't have to play defense. Actually they will probably sigh Tejada in the off season so he can pair with Soriano to give the Yankees the worst fielding 2B-SS combination in Major League history.
