Been terrible this post season. 3 terrible beats on one pitch last night in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs.

5-8 and way down in units.

A's -127 (3 units) - Pinnacle
Yankees total OVER 4.5 -120 (2 units) - Beteurosport

Pinnacle has the A's at -127 now. I know Zito hasnt pitched as a CY Young this season. But at home? Against Wakefield? Why is this line only -127?

Either way, you gotta like Zito at home at that price.

Im with you MC - with both teams coming off a long game last night, Zito (fresh) should be a damn good play. Oakland should have some confidence as well. I laid it too.

all do REPSPECT MC...

But the line is like that because the Redsox have the # 1 & 2 batting leaders on their roster, and the #1 batting leader bats 7th...And their HR and RBI totals are unbelievable this year

I hear you loud and clear,though, on the Wakefield argument

here are the last 2 meeting between these teams where both of these pitchers pitched in

8/14/2003 OAK 2 - BOS 4 x T.Lilly T.Wakefield -105/9U

8/12/2003 OAK 5 - BOS 3 B.Zito J.Burkett 130/8.5 U

the last 3 games these 2 teams have played have gone over the total while oakland won the season series 4-3 (not counting last nights game at all.

This is the cheapest you will ever get Zito at home against a non 1st tier pitcher.

the same argument could be stated that "this is the best price you won't have to pay for a TEAM that has the best betting numbers in the American Leauge" and record setting at that

NEWPORT - Right now I am definately NOT the man. Wakefield can be good or terrible. Zito has a better chance to be good. A's are at home. Boston under tons of pressure to win this one, knowing Lowe pitched 42 pitches last night. They have pressure and Zito going against them. At this low price, Zito looks good.

MC, i can't dispute that at all MC zito looks like the bet here wakefeild has alot of postseason experiance too and thats why i have to pass this game.

Wakefield has not fared well in ALDS play, going 0-2 with a 15.58 ERA in four career appearances, including two starts.

Zito is 2-1 with a 2.29 ERA in three career ALDS starts. He is 3-2 with a 3.27 ERA in six career starts against Boston.
